Beginning Tuesday March 23, 2021, the City of Kent Yard Waste Transfer Site will reopen.
The 2021 hours of operation are Tuesday, 9:00am - 1:00pm, Thursday 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am - 12:00pm
City personnel will be present to check identification of individuals requesting to dump yard waste and debris.
The Yard Waste Transfer Site is offering delivery of ground/shredded material to residents, free of charge. To request a delivery day, please fill out the Yard Waste Material Delivery Waiver
2021 Hours of Operation
Tuesdays, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Thursdays, 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Saturdays, 8:00am - 12:00pm
The City can only accept yard waste that is produced and delivered by residents of the City of Kent. No landscaping companies or individuals providing a business of that type can use the site for dumping. All commercial activity must utilize a licensed commercial dump for their debris.

- Brush
- Grass
- Firewood
- Leaves
- Weeds
- Any type of yard waste
NOT Accepted Materials List
- NO lumber or wood pallets
- NO construction debris
- NO trash of any kind
- NO logs/stumps
- NO full trees
- NO large root balls
- NO railroad ties
Drop-Off Yard Waste Rules
- Non-residents are NOT permitted on the site
- No charge for City residents to drop off yard waste
- No commercial use of site is permitted
- Unauthorized equipment prohibited on premises
The City of Kent Yard Waste Regulations
Transfer Site is open to Kent residents only. Residents will be required to show proof of residency, a valid driver's license or state ID with your City of Kent address at the gate prior to admission to the site. Resident's must live in and show proof of residency within the City of Kent Corporation Limits (this will be strictly enforced).
