NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
Southwest Sanitary Pump Station
Improvements


The City of Kent has scheduled a public meeting to present the proposed Southwest Sanitary Pump Station Improvement Project.

The project consists of eliminating the Yacavona Pump Station, replacing the Middlebury Road Pump Station and installation of a sanitary trunk sewer from the Yacavona Pump Station to the Middlebury Road Pump Station.

The public meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, starting at 6:00 pm at the Roy Smith Shelter House in Fred Fuller Park on Middlebury Road.

There will be a presentation from staff and a question and answer session starting at 6:30 pm. Representatives from the Service Department and design consultant will be available to answer questions at the meeting.

The project is scheduled to begin construction in late 2019 or the beginning of 2020.

Residents who live along Middlebury Road (from Hughey Drive to the Cuyahoga River), Yacavona Drive and Akron Boulevard are encouraged to attend to learn about the project.
