New Location for Yard Waste Transfer Site
The City of Kent Department of Public Service Announces Yard Waste Transfer Site New Location & Hours of Operation
The City of Kent’s Yard Waste Transfer Site currently located on Hodgeman Lane will be relocating to Plum Street just outside the entrance to Plum Creek Park effective September 1, 2007.
Days and Hours of operation:
Month Day Time
Year Round Week Days 7:15 a.m.- 2:45 p.m.
Apr. to Oct. Sat. 9:15 a.m.- 11:45 a.m.
(odd dates*)
*For example if the Saturday’s of the month fall on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th, the site would be open on the 1st, 15th, and 29th
City of Kent residents may visit the Yard Waste Transfer Site to drop off yard waste during its regular hours of operation at no charge. Non-residents are not permitted to use the site.
Finished compost material (mulch) will not be available for pickup at the City of Kent’s Yard Waste Transfer Site for the remainder of 2007. The supply of the finished compost available during 2007 has been depleted.
