Cuyahoga River Days

Come out to the Haymaker Farmers' Market on Saturday, May 17th to visit with our many different partners and celebrate the Cuyahoga River. Learn about our Cuyahoga River watershed, local pollinators & stewardship opportunities. All activities are completely free and open to the public.

HUD Annual Action Plan & 5-year Consolidated Plan

The City of Kent has prepared the draft of its PY2025 Annual Action Plan and 2025-2029 5-year Consolidated Plan. In order to encourage public review and comment of this document, the City is providing a 30-day public comment period beginning Monday April 21, 2025 and continuing through Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Please forward any written comments by USPS to the City of Kent, Community Development Department, 930 Overholt Road, Kent, Ohio 44240, email Kailyn.Cyrus@kentohio.gov, or fax to 330-678-8030 (via fax).

NOPEC Enrollment / Opt Out

Starting in mid-April, eligible residents and small businesses will begin receiving enrollment letters for our community’s natural gas aggregation program through NOPEC. The enrollment letter provides details about the aggregation program, and how to opt-out of the aggregation program if you choose to do so. Visit the Utilities page using the link above.

Yard Waste Site

The City of Kent's Yard Waste site is now open! Head to the website page for more details and to complete the online form for delivery of the free mulch-like grindings. Deliveries are scheduled on Fridays only and will begin May 2, 2025

Engineering Projects Update

The City Engineering Division is responsible for planning and implementing the city’s capital improvement projects. This encompasses a wide range of projects: street and sidewalk repairs, bridge repairs, major road improvements, and replacing/maintaining the operation of our sewer and water facilities. If you want to learn how projects are prioritized and what's on the horizon, check out our quarterly updates.
